Kenneth Lee Akers, 88, Fishers, passed away on Friday, December 14, 2018 at his home. He was born on December 16, 1929 in Baltimore, Md.
Kenneth proudly served his country in the United States Army as part of the post-WWII German Occupation Forces. For 38 years, he worked in pharmaceutical sales, retiring from Dow Chemical. Kenneth attended Holy Spirit Parish at Geist Catholic Church and loved sports, especially the Baltimore & Indianapolis Colts and Baltimore Orioles.
He is survived by his wife, Mina Lou Wyatt Akers; children, Donna Spegele, Kenneth Wyatt Akers and Allison Ella Thomas; seven grandchildren, Andrew, Bradley, Connor, Elizabeth, John, Brian and Jenna; and three great-grandchildren.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his mother, Isabelle Akers.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Holy Spirit Parish at Geist Catholic Church, 10350 Glaser Way, Fishers, with Rev. Phil Bowers officiating. Burial will take place at a later date at Parkwood Cemetery in Baltimore, Md.
