Kathy Louann Dotson, 61, Sheridan, passed away on January 12, 2023, at her home. She was born March 25, 1961, in Noblesville, to Louie and Norma (Randall) Odle.
Kathy had worked for several years as a nurse’s aide at various nursing homes that were located in Noblesville, Sheridan, and Carmel. She loved being around people and enjoyed helping them, so working in nursing homes was a good fit for her. She also loved children and babies. Her doctors sternly advised her not to have children due to her health issues, so she volunteered to work in the day care for children at her church. She especially loved babies, so when babies arrived in her room they ended up in her loving care. Leisure time would find Kathy shopping, coloring and spending time with her family.
She married Ronald Gene Dotson and found that he came with a family. This enriched her life with a stepdaughter, Missy Green; stepsons, Jeff Dotson, Richard Dotson, and Ron Faucett; step-grandchildren, Matt, Justin, and Evan Dotson; plus five great-grandchildren. She also is survived by a brother, Louie Odle; and a sister, Debra Campbell.
Her parents and a brother, Larry Odle, preceded in her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2023, at Hartley Funeral Homes, 209 W. Jackson St., Cicero, with burial to follow at Crownland Cemetery at Noblesville.
