Kathleen M. Johnston, 94, Carmel, passed away on October 2, 2021. She was born on September 1, 1927 in New Haven, Ind., daughter of Arthur and Ella (Bruick) Goeglein.
Kay was a 1944 graduate of New Haven High School. She was a devoted wife and created a beautiful home for her family.
Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family and friends. Her sons, John and Craig, would refer to her as the “Best Mother Ever.”
Kay was ready to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and is now living fully in her Heavenly Home.
In addition to her parents, Kay was preceded in death by her husband, William Johnston.
Survivors include her sons, John W. (Debra) Johnston and Craig T. (Cindy) Johnston; grandchildren, Lindsey (Michael) Porter and Kelly (Colin) Smith; and great-grandson, Arlo Porter.
A Family Gathering will take place at 1:15 p.m. on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at Cornerstone Lutheran Church, 4850 E. Main St., Carmel, followed by A Celebration Memorial Service beginning at 2 p.m.
Her final resting place will be alongside her husband in the Veterans Cemetery, Phoenix, Ariz.
