Dear Editor:

The Junk Ordinance has its good points as far as I have read. However some parts of the ordinance needs to be rethought out.

As stated in the Hamilton County Reporter: “This ordinance also addresses excessive numbers of vehicles – operating or not,” said Dillinger. “You are no longer allowed to park more vehicles outside your garage than the number of bedrooms, as shown on your county property record card for the residential lot, plus one. So if you have a four bedroom home, you should not have more than five cars parked outside your garage at any time.”

Let’s assume my wife and I have jobs, one child going to be a junior in a local high school, one child going to Butler, one going to work in Anderson – with everyone living at home, the home being three bedrooms. I’m in violation of a silly ordinance because we must have five cars on my property and only a three-bedroom home. I could have use the same example with six cars on the property. I believe two children in each bedroom is okay by law.

Yep, that’ll be a problem for a lot of people.
