August 31, 1955 – October 2, 2023
Julia A. Whitley, Fishers, passed away on October 2, 2023. She was born on August 31, 1955, in Indianapolis to the late Frank and Betty Rabb.
Julia graduated from Ladywood – St. Agnes in 1974. She then followed up her education with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Indianapolis. She was a dedicated student throughout her time in college.
One of Julia’s greatest joys came from spending time with her husband of many years, Terry Whitley. Together they created a joyful home filled with laughter and love.
She was also exceptionally proud of her daughter Amy Sheller, and granddaughters, Annie, Abby, and Alayna. Julia loved nothing more than showering them with affection and creating beautiful memories together, especially while doing all sorts of crafts.
In addition to being dedicated to her family, Julia pursued various hobbies, such as crocheting, sewing, playing Bunco, and swimming. In her younger days, she had a passion for softball.
Julia brightened any room she was in and never failed to put a smile on someone’s face. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, and was always kind, generous, and willing to drop anything to help others.
Julia is survived by her loving husband, Terry; daughter, Amy (Adam) Sheller; and granddaughters, Annie, Abby, and Alayna.
A visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m. on October 12, 2023, with a Funeral Service to follow at 2 p.m., both at Hamilton Memorial Park (Prairie Waters) in Westfield. Julia’s Final Resting Place will be at Hamilton Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial contribution in Julia’s name to the Hamilton County Humane Society.
