Judith Lynn “Tiny” Buzan

December 20, 1941 – April 11, 2018

Judith Lynn “Tiny” Buzan, 76, passed away peacefully at her home in Sheridan, surrounded by her loving family and her dog Max on Wednesday morning, April 11, 2018. Born in Frankfort, Ind., on December 20, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Willard “Bud” and Irene (Purcifull) “Short” Harshman.

Judy was very proud to be part of the Kirklin H.S. Class of 1959, the very last graduating class from Kirklin High School before it became part of the consolidated Clinton Central School System. Taking care of her family was the single most important thing in Judy’s life, and that care came in many different forms. For many years she helped her late husband, “Warnie” Buzan, take care of the family farm. She absolutely loved taking care of all the farm animals. Cooking was by far her favorite way to take care of her family, and one in which she took great pride. If you worked at the Buzan farm, you were family, relation or not, and that meant you were going to get fed like family. For more years than anyone can remember, she cooked the daily meals for everyone working around the farm. Taking care of the farm and her family kept her very busy, but there was always enough time to spare for a good hand of poker or a game of solitaire. Judy also worked for Leatherite in Carmel for 15 years before retiring in 2000.

A loving farm wife, mother and grandmother, Judy was also quite the jokester. She is survived by her son, Bryan Keith Buzan (Sandy), Sheridan; her daughter, Tammy Lynn Forbush (Hoppy), Sheridan; three grandchildren, Morgan Jo Forbush-Bess (Jade), Sheridan, Lindsay Jay Forbush-Gilbert (Will), Carmel, and William Brandon Forbush, Greencastle; two great-grandchildren, Jayden and Madox Gilbert; one sister, Diane Royer (Bonnie), Michigantown; and her cousin, Danny Goodnight, Gulf Shores, Ala. She and Danny were more like brother and sister than cousins. Judy is also survived by her canine BFF, Max.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her fat cat, Bubba; and by her loving husband, Warren L. “Warnie” Buzan on September 8, 2001. She and Warnie were married on November 20, 1964.

Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 14, 2018, at Kercheval Funeral Home, 306 E. 10th St., Sheridan, with visitation from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Pastor George Cooper will officiate. Burial will follow at Crown View Cemetery in Sheridan. Memorial contributions may be presented to the American Cancer Society.
