The planned expansion of the Hamilton County Judicial Center has been delayed after Commissioners received bids that were $311,000 more than expected.
Commissioners announced they will evaluate the project and likely re-bid the project later this year or early 2019.
Originally the county had budgeted $24.17 million to expand the facility with hopes of adding additional courts and moving the auditor, recorder, assessor and treasurer from the county’s historic courthouse.
The county will continue with plans to move utilities on the Judicial Center property in preparation of a future expansion.
