The Hamilton County Commissioners are further limiting access to the Judicial Center and the Courthouse in Downtown Noblesville in an effort to slow the transmission of COVID-19.

“While a large majority of our employees are working remotely, we have many who cannot,” County Commissioner Christine Altman said. “We need to do our best to keep our employees healthy and limit their exposure to the virus, so we don’t have any interruptions in government business.”
Effective Monday, April 13, all entrances to both buildings will be closed and employee key fobs will be deactivated. The only way to enter either the Judicial Center or the Courthouse will be through the East Entrance of the Judicial Center. Those needing to access the Courthouse will have to do so through the underground tunnel that connects the two buildings.
Furthermore, anyone who enters the Judicial Center must use hand sanitizer and have their temperature taken. Anyone – citizen or employee – with a temperature above 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit will not be allowed into the building. Public hours at both buildings will also be limited to 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
“This is a busy time for county government,” Altman said. “Property taxes are due May 11 and the Primary Election is scheduled for June 2. Many of these duties cannot be accomplished off site. We need to create a safe haven for all our employees during this unprecedented time.”
