Join Noblesville First United Methodist for the next Just Film at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 18 at the church, located at 2051 Monument St. Enter through Doors 4 and 5.
This film series is open to the public; you need not attend the church. The event will feature Inside the Garbage of the World, which discusses the plastic floating in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Seabirds and marine mammals are already dying around the world because of plastic debris, and the food chain is already contaminated.
The guest speaker at the event will be Leslie Taljaard, Director of the Hazardous Waste Center, who will speak about “wishful recycling,” which causes a lot of problems, and the other “R’s” that are even more important than recycling: “Rethink, Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Refurbish, Repair, and Repurpose.”
