John “J.K.” Williams, 75, of Noblesville, passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield. He was born on May 30, 1943 to the late John and Irene (Kendall) Williams in Noblesville.
J.K. was a Noblesville High School graduate, attended William Penn University in Iowa, and received an associate’s degree in youth counseling from IUPUI. For 31 years, J.K. worked in Quality Control for General Motors and was also a youth care counselor for Villages of Indiana. He was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church where he served as a lay leader for 10 years and filled in for the minister. J.K. was a 40-year charter member of the American Rabbit Breeders Association and thoroughly enjoyed raising rabbits. He volunteered at the Boys & Girls Club of Noblesville where he had many winning basketball teams, including the Goat Ropers.
J.K. is survived by his wife, Janet S. Williams; daughter, April (Randy) Speicher; son, Tom (Jill) Pursell; grandchildren, Kendall Speicher, Kameryn Speicher and Eric Pursell; brother, Phillip Williams; niece, Jamie Walters; nephew, Andy Williams; and mother-in-law, Vivian Hindman.
Services will be held at noon on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Bethlehem United Methodist Church, 13550 Olio Road, Fishers, with visitation from 10:30 a.m. to the time of service. Rev. Angela Gafford Asmus will officiate. Graveside services will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
