Joe Heaton Burgess, 98, Noblesville, passed away on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Riverwalk Village in Noblesville. He was born on August 20, 1920 to Claud and Charlotte (Gerrard) Burgess in Noblesville.
Joe proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII and was a member of the Noblesville American Legion and the 40&8 Society. He worked as a Title Insurance Examiner for Wainwright Abstract. Joe was a member of Noblesville First Friends Church, the Indiana Historical Society and the Hamilton County Historical Society.
He is survived by his daughter, Lucindia “Cindy” Burgess. In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Burgess in 1981.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan St., Noblesville. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 16, 2018 at the funeral home, with Pastor Rick Schoeff officiating. Burial will follow at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
