Joe Galloway

June 25, 1930 – August 7, 2017

Joe Galloway, 87, of Argos, passed away on Monday, August 7, 2017 at Memorial Hospital of South Bend. He was born on June 25, 1930 to Clarence and Mary Catherine (Castetter) Galloway in Noblesville.

Joe proudly served his country as a Staff Sergeant for eight years in the United States Air Force during the Korean War where he worked on B36 airplanes. For most of his life, he was a farmer. Joe was a member of Noblesville First United Methodist Church and a 50-year member of Noblesville Masonic Lodge. He was a 4-H co-leader over the years and sat on the board as a chairman for Co-Op. Joe always enjoyed repairing cars and spent his winters as a snowbird in Port Charlotte, Fla.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Galloway, who he married on March 4, 1983; son, David (Susan) Galloway; four step-daughters, Yolanda Clark, Tammy Swafford, Leza Rector (Jerry) and Mechele Graham (Ed); brother, Jim (Dee) Galloway; 16 grandchildren, Jasen, Jeremy, Joe, Jason, Jessica, Nicholas, Katie, Coral, Mary Elizabeth, Kyle, Emily, Ashley, Casey, Tori, Travis and Madysen; and 24 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his daughter, Linda Miller; brother, John Galloway; and sister, Mary Ann Howard.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, August 11, 2017 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street in Noblesville, with visitation from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Burial with Military Rites will follow at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
