Joanne Marie Peterson Anderson, 84, Carmel, passed away on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at her home. She was born on September 29, 1934 to the late Glenn G. and Jane E. Peterson in Chicago, Ill.
Mrs. Anderson graduated from Niles Township High School (Skokie, Ill.) in 1952, as well as from Purdue University in 1956 and Indiana University in 1977. Joanne married the love of her life, David V. Anderson, on June 15, 1956. Together they raised three children in Carmel.
Joanne is survived by her daughters, Amy J. Anderson and Laura J. Anderson, both of Carmel; brothers, Richard G. Peterson, Merritt Island, Fla., and Roger A. Peterson of Thailand; and grandsons, David R. Anderson, Chicago, Ill., and Peter C. Anderson, Denver, Colo. She is also survived by cousins and many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband; her son, Thomas G. Anderson; and her sister, Elizabeth Crom.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, December 2, 2018 at Randall and Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road in Noblesville with Rev. Margaret Harouny officiating. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to the time of service at the funeral home. A private burial will be held at a later date at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery.
