Dear Editor:

My wife, Laura Alerding, is in her second year as a Noblesville School Board member.

As part of her job, she spends hours preparing for meetings, asks questions, and meets with school leadership as well as community leaders. A former school leader said that Laura’s questions have made “us a better school district.” Additionally, she promotes higher academic achievement and supports teachers by voting for teacher raises.

Meanwhile, she has been demeaned by the President of the School Board via a text message and photo sent to all the board members. His text describes my wife as having horns.

With this text and other outrageous verbal comments to Laura, Joe depicts that he does not exhibit leadership capability. Joe Forgey should NOT be re-elected to the Noblesville School Board.

  1. I do not know your wife, but maybe Joe is right. As a spouse, you ALWAYS support your wife. ALWAYS. Joe would not make such a comment without justification. Is your wife a closet Karen? Only time will tell. However, I totally disagree you. I support Mr. Forgey 100%, and will vote for him.
