Jeremy Hawk has announced he is running for the District 6 seat on the Noblesville Common Council as a Democratic candidate.

In a press release, Hawk listed his reasons for starting this campaign, also including a short biography about himself and his family:

“My family and I love the city of Noblesville, its small-town feel, our neighbors and the sense of home and security we feel here. I know that we will continue to be a part of this city for years to come, which is why I want to be a part of the planning process for the future success of Noblesville.

“I want to bring transparency to the people of Noblesville about their local government. Too often we hear about issues that have already been decided on and presented to us without option. As a taxpayer, a voter and a Noblesville resident we all deserve an opportunity to speak up for our city, our neighbors and our tax dollars. Let’s move discussions about our city out of the backrooms and into public forums.

“We are experiencing a period of rapid growth in population and business activity, especially in the sixth district of Noblesville. New neighborhoods are popping up left and right, and businesses want to relocate here because of the people and quality of life for their employees. What we need to remember is that with this growth comes a responsibility to not only respond to our changing community, but to also plan for its future. We need to adapt and move forward with key projects to provide the infrastructure solutions to address our growth as a city. I absolutely believe that we can maintain our status as a modern, thriving city without compromising the soul of Noblesville.

“I am the proud husband to my wife, Breanne, of seven years and father to my two young daughters Juliana, 5, and Isla, 2. I currently work as the Chief Financial and Operations Officer for the Indiana School for the Deaf in Indianapolis. I have had the honor of serving as a public servant with the state of Indiana for the last 10 years in various financial and managerial roles and hope to bring my experience and critical thinking to benefit Noblesville residents. My educational background includes a B.A. from Purdue University in Political Science and an M.B.A. from Butler University in Leadership.

“I encourage and welcome public interaction with my campaign, and I want to hear your thoughts and concerns regarding Noblesville. You can reach me at HawkforIndiana@gmail.com or at my campaign Facebook page.”
