Jeanette Ann Landberg, 87, Fishers, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 5, 2020.
Jean was born on June 12, 1933 in Rocky Hill, Conn., to the late Dom and Minnie (Vinchetti) Sylvester. She received a degree from Morse Business College. Jean proudly served in the United States Navy, where she met her adoring husband, Ted. She was a semi-pro softball player for a few years, playing for the Connecticut Laurelettes. She was a personnel representative for Whirlpool before retirement.
Jean was happiest taking care of her family. Her hobbies included gardening and traveling; Africa and Italy being her favorite destinations. She was a member of Holy Spirit Parish at Geist Catholic Church in Fishers.
Jean was known and admired for her love of her family and friends. Her faith in God was a testimony to her compassion, devotion and generosity. She made a lasting, loving impression on every person she met and will be remembered as a kind and gentle soul.
Cherished by so many, we were blessed to call her Mom, Granny, Grandma, Jeanette, Jean, Aunt Jean, Jeannie, Shortcake, and Jaybird.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Theodore Landberg; son, John (Mary Pat) Landberg; daughter, Beth Ann (Wes) Bagnell; grandchildren, Colin, Kyle and Carson Landberg; sister, Betty Lou Malaguti; sister-in-law, Judith Campbell; and several nieces and nephews.
A private ceremony will be held at a later date. The Landberg Family has entrusted Randall & Roberts Funeral Home with Jean’s care.
