June 17, 1973 – May 9, 2022
Jason Barrington Koss, a lifelong resident of Cicero, passed away on Monday, May 9, 2022. He was born on June 17, 1973, to Sally Jo Hackney in Indianapolis. He married his best friend and love of his life, Jessica Brooke (Anderson) Koss. He leaves behind their two daughters, Isabella Dyan and Lydia Adair, who will miss him greatly.
Jason also leaves behind his sister, Angie (Jason) Cosner of Bloomington; and niece and nephews, Madelyn, Benjamin and Samuel, all of Bloomington.
In 1989, Jason started working in the carpentry business where he soon discovered his amazing abilities with the details of custom woodworking and one of his favorite talents. He later owned and operated his own businesses, J Koss Construction, LLC and JBK Woodworks, and was known for his superior craftsmanship for over 33 years.
In addition to his adoring love for his girls, Jason’s enthusiasm for anything water-related was apparent early on as he never left living on the lake and will continue to watch over his girls there. His passion for boating, barefoot skiing and all sports behind the boat began at a young age. Jason was a founding teammate of the world-renowned barefooting endurance race team known as “The Wolfpack.”
His love for the water continues with his girls. He enjoyed time behind many of his Nautiques over the years and recently restored and personalized a Ski Nautique for his daughter, Isabella.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Third Phase Social Service Organization, 15755 Allisonville Road, Noblesville, IN 46060; or The Humane Society for Hamilton County, 10501 Hague Road, Fishers, IN 46038.
