Janis J. Schneider, 85, Fishers, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2023, at Community Heart & Vascular Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born on January 20, 1937, to Marcus and Anna (Griffith) Gossard in Tipton County.
Janis worked as a secretary for the Alpha Chi Omega Headquarters and for the Noblesville School System for 10 years. She was a member of Noblesville First United Methodist Church.
Janis is survived by her son, Michael A. (Tamara) Schneider; daughter, Julie J. (Paul) Congress; brother-in-law, Don Fraser; two granddaughters, Sarah Congress and Emily Brion-Schneider; and Trey Woodley.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Schneider; sister, Marilyn Fraser; and two brothers.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with services at 1 p.m., on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road, Fishers. Pastor Melissa Litka will officiate. Burial will be at Kempton Cemetery in Kempton.
