Janice Elaine Barker

July 4, 1942 – February 24, 2025

Janice Elaine Barker, 82, Noblesville, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025, at her home. She was born on July 4, 1942, to Robert and Jane (Miller) Boser in Noblesville.

Jan and her husband, Victor C. Barker, operated Cardinal Building Company for many years. She was the head cook at Durbin Elementary for Hamilton Southeastern Schools for over 13 years. Jan was a member of Clarksville Christian Church and the Lapel American Legion Auxiliary #212. She enjoyed camping at New Lisbon Campgrounds where she made many friends over the years. Jan was loved and cherished by her grandchildren, who lovingly called her “Nana.” She loved her pets, especially Lacie Jane and Miss Muggsie.

She is survived by her children, David (Rhonda) Barker and Vicki (John) Hagerman; grandchildren, Daniel (Brittani) Barker, Victor (Alicia) Barker, and Katy (Jacob) Hochstetler; and great-grandchildren, Lexi, Preston, Drake, Layne, Dean, Presley, Elliot, Adley, and Liam.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Victor C. Barker; brother, Gerald Boser; niece, Amy Willett; grandson, Jeremy Barker; and two infant children, David Lee and Andrea Sue.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 3, 2025, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan St., Noblesville, with Richard Barker officiating. Visitation will be from noon to the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Prairie Baptist Cemetery in Noblesville.
