James M. “Jimmy” Sanders, 71, Atlanta, died Friday, February 15, 2019 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. Jimmy was born on March 27, 1947 in Tipton to Don D. and Helen F. (Dashiell) Sanders.
Jimmy attended Kemp United Methodist Church as a youth and also attended Hamilton Heights High School. He enjoyed playing board games and cards and watching game shows on television.
He is survived by four siblings, Larry Sanders, Carmel; Donna Sumner and husband Cory, Noblesville; Don Sanders, Atlanta; and John Sanders and wife Andrea, Indianapolis. Nieces and nephews include Larry, Bernadette, Mike, Kevin, C.J., Andy, Willie and Jessie.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 3:15 p.m. on Monday, February 18 at Fairview Cemetery in Tipton with Rev. George Sullivan-Davis presiding. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. on Monday at Young-Nichols Funeral Home in Tipton.
