James (Jim) C. Green, 77, Fishers, passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, after a seven-year battle with Parkinson’s. He was born on July 2, 1945, to Curtis and C. Louise (McGovren) Green in Beech Grove, Ind.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 53 years, Jeannie; daughter, Shanna Hull of Indianapolis; siblings, Thomas (Roberta) Green of Indianapolis, Jacqueline (David) Trees of Walcott, Iowa, and Linda (Michael) Hupp of Indianapolis; several nieces and nephews; and his cat, Muffy.
Jim graduated from Scecina Memorial High School and then joined the United States Air Force where he served four years. After being honorably discharged he went to work for Indiana Bell for the next 38 years. After retiring from the phone company, he worked for another 15 years as a driver for Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Jim was a member of St. Louis de Montfort Catholic Church. He enjoyed music, hockey, NASCAR, and bowling. Jim served 10 years as a Fishers Volunteer Fireman.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at St. Louis de Montfort Catholic Church, 11441 Hague Road, Fishers, with an additional visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road, Fishers. Burial will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis.
