James Camp

October 7, 1939 – April 6, 2023

James Camp, 83, Noblesville, passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2023, at Bridgewater Healthcare Center in Carmel. He was born on October 7, 1939, to the late Raymond and Mary (Lewis) Camp in Noblesville.

Jim proudly served his country in the Army National Guard. He worked for General Motors Guide Lamp division, retiring after 30 years as a General Foreman. Jim enjoyed woodworking, playing golf and billiards, and Lionel trains. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, a Mason, a life member of the Elks, a youth sports coach, and is in the first class of the Noblesville Athletics Hall of Fame. Jim enjoyed being with his friends and family and traveling in his RV spending winters at the Live Oak RV & Golf Resort in Arcadia, Fla.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Jenny Ottinger Camp; sons, Chip (Angie) Camp and Andy (Gina Bindley) Camp; daughter, Deedra (Bernie) Henning; sisters, Darlene (Larry) Wood-Sisson and Sharon (Jim) Williamson; and his grandchildren, Quinton Camp, Macey Zimmerman, Colton Camp, Hayden Camp, Harris Camp, Presley Camp, Mitchell Henning, and Grant Henning.

Visitation will be from noon to 3 p.m., with services at 3 p.m., on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, Noblesville.
