Jack Steven Ott, 73, Noblesville, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 24, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family and minister. He was born on February 17, 1950, to Robert and Bette Jane (Walker) Ott in Chillicothe, Ohio.
Jack was a graduate of Noblesville High School and Indiana Central College (now University of Indianapolis) where we received a full ride scholarship for wrestling. After college he was an art teacher and wrestling coach at Lawrence Central. Ultimately, he helped form his own company, Ott Equipment Service, which he owned and operated for 40 years.
Jack was a member of Refuge Christian Church and the Noblesville Elks Club. He enjoyed golf, scuba diving, snorkeling, and water & snow skiing. He loved vacations and any time spent at his lake house in Lake Cumberland, Ky. Most of all he loved his family and spending time with them.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carol Ott; son, Craig Ott; daughter, Alicia (Robert) Hughes; brothers, Robert Ott and Sonny Ott; sister, Sherry Cook; four granddaughters, Bella, Carlie, Piper, and Charli; one grandson, Tate; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his brother, Mel Ott; and his stepfather, Dick Winings.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m., with services at 5 p.m., on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, Noblesville. Celebration of Life will immediately follow at Noblesville Elks Lodge 576, 35 S. 9th St., Noblesville, where food and drinks will be provided, all are welcome.
