The six elementary schools in Westfield Washington Schools will compete in their second annual Lego Mania Competition at 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 26 at Westfield Woods Elementary School, 17950 Grassy Branch Road, Westfield.
Each elementary school’s Lego Club, which has been meeting throughout the year, will compete in a one-time ultimate build to determine the district champion. Teams of third- and fourth-graders will construct a one-story house with defined room and landscaping in a 45-minute period. There will be up to four teams from each school, and every elementary school in the district will participate. Each team will consist of two students working on one Lego house. Approximately seven judges will use a scoring rubric to determine the winners.
