A new series of creative programs for all ages
The Anderson Museum of Art (AMOA) has announced the launch of Art at Play @ AMOA, a new series of creative programs designed to engage and inspire artists of all ages.
This initiative is part of AMOA’s broader vision to utilize the arts for holistic health and well-being. It is made possible through the generous support of community partners, including the City of Anderson ARPA funds, the Indiana Arts Commission, and the Madison County Community Foundation.
Program highlights
- Play Date: Every Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m., preschoolers are invited to join Miss Moirah Cooke, AMOA’s graduate-level art therapy intern from Herron School of Art and Design, for a fun and interactive art program. Cooke, who is with AMOA for the semester, will bring a wealth of creativity and expertise to the team, guiding little ones through engaging art activities.
- Fun Friday: Every Friday from 10 to 11 a.m., kids of all ages can participate in art projects led by Miss Moirah, designed to spark creativity and enjoyment.
- Museum/Gallery Experience Activities: Enhance your museum visit with interactive and educational activities included with your gallery admission, adding an extra layer of fun and learning.
- Art Kits: Available in the children’s space, AMOA Art Kits provide materials and instructions for continuing creative projects at home.
- AMOA Creative Exchange: Participate in AMOA’s unique art swap, where you can create art, drop it off, take something new, or swap your creations with others.
