In conjunction with the 2022 College Football Playoff (CFP) National Championship coming to Indianapolis on Jan. 10, 2022, the 2022 Indianapolis Host Committee is bringing its inaugural Indiana Tailgate Tour to select high school football games across the state this fall, including the Hamilton Southeastern vs. North Central game on Friday, Aug. 27 and the Center Grove vs. Carmel varsity football game on Friday, Sept. 3.
The Indiana Tailgate Tour will set up at the stadiums for fans to participate in prize giveaways, games and exciting football-skill activities with USA Football prior to kickoff.
During halftime, the committee will award a $1,000 grant to the participating schools to aid in teacher and classroom development. An additional $500 will be donated to each school’s athletic department. A representative from North Central High School indicated they’ll be using the $1,000 to support teacher external professional development enrollment fees.
In total, the committee is committing $54,000 to participating Indiana Tailgate Tour high schools to improve student outcomes and leave a long-lasting impact on the people of Indiana.
