Coal Education Development and Resources Indiana (CEDAR IN) is inviting Indiana students in grades six through 12 to create a short video that illustrates the importance of coal and coal-fired electricity in their lives.
Videos will be judged in two groups by grade level, with grades 6-8 comprising the middle school group and grades 9-12 comprising the high school group.
Winners will be chosen by CEDAR IN board members for both the middle and the high school groups.
Contest Guidelines
- Video must be an original creation of a student or group of students who are currently in grades six through 12.
- Video must be a minimum of 30 seconds and a maximum of 120 seconds.
- Videos must be submitted to cedarindianacontest.com by May 7. Video can be submitted by using the video submission tab at the top of the contest website.
- Submitted videos must include parent/guardian permission information for all video participants. Parent permission information can be submitted in the parent permission tab found at the top of the contest website.
- Winning videos will be displayed on the CEDAR Indiana’s Facebook page.
- All submitted videos may be displayed on CEDAR Indiana, Friends of Coal Indiana, Hoosiers Count on Coal and other coal education related social media sites.
- Awards will be distributed to the schools by May 14.
