The Indiana State Fair is just about two months away, and hundreds of workers are needed to ensure Hoosiers have a great, safe time.
The 17th annual Indiana State Fair Job Fair is set for 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 4 at the Ag/Hort Building on the Indiana State Fairgrounds, 1202 E. 38th St., Indianapolis.
Job seekers will be able to complete an application and interview on-site for seasonal positions. Job fair attendees will receive priority in the hiring process.
The fair is looking to fill approximately 800 seasonal roles, including:
- Education Exhibit Guides
- Gate Staff
- Information Booth Assistants
- Operations Team Members
- Parking Attendants
- Security Personnel
- Tractor Shuttle Operators
“We’re looking for individuals who want to be part of something special, whether it’s your first job, a summer side gig, or a way to stay active in retirement,” HR Director Mark Anderson said in a release. “There’s a place for everyone at the Fair.”
Anderson encourages applicants to bring “a positive attitude and a resume, if available.”
No prior experience with the state fair is required. All that’s needed is a willingness to help create a welcoming and memorable experience for guests, Anderson says.
For those unable to attend the job fair, the employment office located in Fall Creek Pavilion will begin accepting walk-in applicants starting June 9. Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
The 2025 Indiana State Fair takes place from Aug. 1 to 17 and will be closed on Mondays.
