Indiana Members Foundation, the charitable arm of Indiana Members Credit Union (IMCU), along with IMCU, is excited to announce the Mike and Marti Ney People Helping People Award available to IMCU employees who go above and beyond to lend a hand to their communities.

The Mike and Marti Ney People Helping People Award was established to honor Mike and Marti Ney for their generous, ongoing contribution to Indiana Members Foundation to support its efforts of being a positive influence in the community, specifically providing school children in the Indianapolis and surrounding communities with the necessities essential for learning and succeeding in their education.

Mike Ney has served as a board member of IMCU since 1979 and holds the position of Treasurer. He retired from Indiana University after 39 years of service where he held various positions in academic administration. Mike currently serves as a volunteer in the Indiana Guard Reserve in Indianapolis and with various emergency management agencies in Indiana. He has worked for the past three years part-time and full-time for the Adjunct General’s Office of the State of Indiana as the Administrator for the IGR.

Marti Ney has been dedicated to giving back to her community emulating her parents who were both volunteers in Tell City. Since an early age, she has helped neighbors; volunteered in her church and has served as a volunteer for organizations such as the Navy Relief Fund, helping in two hurricane relief efforts. Marti has worked in the financial industry from 1969-1997 holding various positions in banks and credit unions.

“We are so appreciative of Mike and Marti Ney for their continuing support and generous donation to the Indiana Members Foundation,” said Ron Collier, President and CEO of IMCU. “Their commitment to our community is amazing. They are a hands-on team, volunteering their time and talent and we are so grateful to them for all of their contributions.”

“This has provided Marti and I an opportunity to recognize the many ‘servant leaders’ we have here at IMCU,” said Mike Ney, Treasurer of the Board of Directors, Indiana Members Credit Union.
