Westfield’s Adrienne Montalone is used to winning as part of the Shamrocks’ girls golf team.
This week, Montalone picked up a nice victory in the Indiana Junior Golf Age Group Championship, which took place Wednesday and Thursday at Swan Lake Resort in Plymouth. The Shamrock senior-to-be won the Girls 17 title, finishing with a score of 145. Montalone took control of her division with a first-round score of 69, three-under par.
Montalone led an all-Hamilton County top 4. Three Fishers girls followed her, with Kennedy Brooker placing second, Anna DelPrince taking third and Sydney Hruskoci finishing fourth.
Caroline Whallon of Noblesville won the Girls 12 championship, with a score of 157.
Meanwhile, Luke Prall of Carmel won the Boys 15 event, shooting a 146. Prall scored a two-under par 70 for his second round.
Westfield’s Andrew White and Fishers’ Daivic Akala placed second and third respectively in the Boys 14 championship. Noblesville’s Jacob Deakyne made his way to fourth in the Boys 16 division, shooting a three-under 69 and finishing with a 145 for his two-day score.
