More cases of COVID-19 continue to be confirmed globally, nationally, and even here in Indiana. Rightfully, there is increasing concern about the wellbeing of families and communities. In these difficult times, we all need to lean on one another more than ever to stay united and to preserve the health and integrity of our communities.
In response to the Carmel Mayor’s call for assistance, the Indiana Chinese Medical Association (ICMA) has donated $500 to Carmel United Methodist Church Food Pantry and another $500 to Merciful Help Center Food Pantry to help those who are in need.
Furthermore, ICMA is fundraising in order to combat the shortage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as face masks and protective garments for medical respondents, doctors, nurses, first responders and those who are in need in Indiana. The ICMA team has already been working around the clock to identify reputable suppliers that can provide PPE.
ICMA will serve as the collection point for any donations made by any members of the community. ICMA maintains its commitment to provide periodic updates regarding collection progress and allocation of funds.
If you or someone you know is interested in helping this cause in fighting against COVID-19 and is willing to donate, then please do not hesitate to reach out to ICMA. No amount is too small. Listed below are the methods in which donations will be accepted.
