Ina “Carol” Pickett

July 26, 1937 – March 20, 2023

Ina “Carol” Pickett, 85, Noblesville, passed away on Monday, March 20, 2023, at IU Health North Hospital in Carmel. She was born on July 26, 1937, to Ora and Anna (Alexander) Baird in Lebanon, Ind.

Carol attended Sheridan High School, where she became high school sweethearts with Jack Pickett. They were married on May 28, 1955, and would have celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary this year.

In addition to being at home to raise their two daughters, Carol held a variety of jobs throughout the years. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, baking, and vegetable gardening as her favorite hobbies. She loved being involved in church and serving the Lord and was one of the original members of One Church in Westfield, where she currently attended. Some of Carol’s treasured memories were the times she and Jack traveled the country serving other churches in the RV ministry. Most of all, Carol loved spending time with her family and the grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her great joy.

Carol is survived by her husband, Jack Pickett; daughters, Patti (Randy) Riemersma and Lisa (Dan) Terhune; grandchildren, Angela (Michael) Evans, Andy (Leanza) Riemersma, Tyler Terhune, and Kristen (Greg) Hallenbeck; great-grandchildren, Audrey Evans, Owen Evans, Alijana Riemersma, Mason Hallenbeck, Jackson Hallenbeck, and one on the way; sister, Alberta Irby; as well as other extended loving family members. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 26, 2023, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, Noblesville. An additional visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., with services at 11 a.m., on Monday, March 27, 2023, at the funeral home. Carol’s grandson, Pastor Andy Riemersma, will be officiating. Burial will be at Crown View Cemetery in Sheridan.
