The IHSAA announced the pairings for next week’s volleyball sectional tournaments last Sunday.
Hamilton County’s Class 4A schools will travel to Zionsville to compete in Sectional 8. Westfield will play the host Eagles in the first of two opening-round matches on Thursday, Oct. 12, followed by Noblesville taking on Fishers.
In semifinal action Saturday, Oct. 14, defending 4A state champion Hamilton Southeastern will play the Westfield-Zionsville winner in the first semifinal. Carmel will face the Noblesville-Fishers winner in the second semifinal.
Guerin Catholic and Hamilton Heights will play at Class 3A Sectional 27, hosted by Bishop Chatard. The Trojans play Herron in an Oct. 12 first-round match, followed by the Golden Eagles playing Shortridge. The Huskies will take on the Herron-Chatard winner in the first Oct. 14 semifinal, with Heritage Christian playing the Guerin-Shortridge winner.
Sheridan is hosting Class 2A Sectional 43, a five-team site. Cascade and Park Tudor will play the first-round game on Oct. 12. In the Oct. 14 semifinals, Covenant Christian plays University, while Sheridan takes on the Cascade-Park Tudor winner.
All semifinal winners advance to the championship matches, which are set for the evening of Oct. 14.
