The IHSAA announced the sectional pairings for their 50th volleyball tournament on Sunday evening.
Hamilton County’s Class 4A schools will compete at Westfield next week for the Sectional 8 trophy. In first-round matches, Noblesville takes on Hamilton Southeastern and Fishers will play Westfield. Carmel will face the Millers-Royals winner in the first semi-final, with Zionsville playing the Tigers-Shamrocks winner in the second semi-final.
The county’s two Class 3A schools will travel to Bishop Chatard to play in Sectional 27, a seven-team group. Hamilton Heights plays the Trojans in the first match, with the winner advancing to the semi-finals to take on Shortridge; the Blue Devils got the bye.
The other two first-round matches will see Brebeuf Jesuit take on Heritage Christian and Guerin Catholic play Christel House Academy. Those winners will play each other in the semi-finals.
Hamilton County’s two Class 2A schools will head to Western Boone for the four-team Sectional 43. Sheridan takes on the host Stars in the first semi-final, with University playing Park Tudor in the other semi-final.
