Huskies win dual wrestling meet over Lapel

The Hamilton Heights boys wrestling team won a dual meet 54-6 over Lapel on Monday.

The Huskies are back in action Dec. 2 at the Howard County Super Six.

Westfield’s boys placed second at the Capital City Classic last Saturday at Beech Grove.

The Shamrocks scored 181 team points; Perry Meridian won the team championship by scoring 249.5 points. Three Westfield wrestlers won their weight classes, starting with Porter Temples at 120 pounds. Alic Washburn won at 126 pounds, while Eli Turner was the champion at 157 pounds.

Noblesville placed eighth at the Ben Davis Girls Wrestling Invitational last Saturday.

The Millers had three place winners, including one champion. Kyra Tomlinson finished 7-1 at 130 pounds, winning the championship match with a second-period fall.

Evangeline Howard placed second at 140 pounds, while Brooke Butler placed fourth at 140. Jordan Stevens won three matches at 120 pounds.
