Huskies win conference opener

Hamilton Heights won its Hoosier Conference opener on Friday, beating Lewis Cass 71-60 at the Kings’ gymnasium.
The Huskies outscored Cass in each of the four quarters, leading 19-15 after the first period and 34-28 at halftime. Camron Knott started the game on fire, with three 3-pointers in the first quarter. He would eventually lead all scorers with 25 points, including five 3s.
Gus Etchison added 16 points and dished out six assists, while Issiac Hickok scored 11 points. Hudson Hochstedler handed out four assists. Luke Carroll stepped up on defense with two blocked shots. The Huskies rebounded by committee, with three players (Ethicson, Hickok and Carroll) all picking up four rebounds. Ten different Heights players had one rebound.
The Huskies are 4-1 and continue their road trip tonight at Delta.
