Huskies take home trophy from Hoosier Conference tournament

The Hamilton Heights girls cross country team won the Hoosier Conference tournament, which took place last Saturday at Rensselaer Central.

The Huskies scored 27 points, had the top two finishers and placed five runners in the top 15. Allie Bushey won the race in 18 minutes, 54.00 seconds, while Anna Monnin was the runner-up in 19:50.04.

Other Heights runners were: 4. Amira Leer 20:17.52, 9. Kendall Moe 20:55.60, 11. Ayla Madara 21:10.52, 22. Hattie Graham 22:41.56.

Hamilton Heights’ boys team placed third, scoring 60 points. Western won the meet with 47 points and West Lafayette was second with 51 points.

Rudy Bowman placed fourth to lead the Huskies boys, clocking in at 16:27.87. Isaiah Heuer finished fifth in 16:33.44. Other Heights runners were: 16. Hudson Holt 17:32.03, 17. Will Monnin 17:33.53, 18. Aiden Clarke 17:41.34, 37. Max Bowman 18:43.76, 41. Charles Wedmore 18:50.89.
