Huskies’ regular season ends with loss to Heritage Christian

Hamilton Heights dropped its regular-season finale on Thursday, falling at Heritage Christian 50-33.

The Eagles led 14-8 after the first quarter. The Huskies came back in the second period, cutting Heritage’s lead to 26-24 by halftime. Katie Brown took over in the second quarter, hitting three 3-pointers and scoring 11 points in the period. The Eagles edged their lead up to 33-29 after three quarters, then ran away with the game in the fourth, outscoring Heights 17-4.

Brown finished the game with 16 points. Sarah Sherrill scored six points and pulled five rebounds, while Kamryn Rhoton collected six rebounds.

The Huskies are 5-16 and play Delta Tuesday in the first round of Class 3A Sectional 24 at Connersville.
