Huskies power past Rushville

Hamilton Heights posted another big win on Tuesday, closing its regular season with a 71-40 home victory over Rushville.

The Huskies outscored the Lions in each of the four quarters. Heights led 15-11 after the first period, then zoomed ahead 34-20 by halftime. Gavin Saunders scored 12 points in the second period, including a pair of 3-pointers.

The Huskies increased their lead to 51-31 after three quarters, with Saunders scoring another seven points. Saunders finished the game with 24 points, including four 3s and also made four steals.

Jack Kakasuleff added 10 points, while Tyler Champion dished out four assists. Carson Felger and Aidan Unger both collected four rebounds.

Heights is 14-8 and plays Connersville Tuesday in a Sectional 24 first-round game at New Castle.
