Huskies overwhelm Twin Lakes for 3rd in conference

Hamilton Heights overwhelmed Twin Lakes 73-41 on Friday to win the third-place game of the Hoosier Conference tournament.

The host Huskies led 13-5 after one quarter and 34-19 at halftime. Heights blasted through the third period, pouring in 31 points to take a 65-33 lead going into the fourth period.

Gavin Saunders had an incredible shooting night, making eight 3-pointers for 24 points. Saunders also led the rebounds with five. Rees Knapp added 13 points, while Tyler Champion had 10 points, five assists and five steals.

The Huskies are 13-8 and finish the regular season Tuesday by hosting Rushville. The junior varsity game starts at 6:30 p.m., with the varsity game starting at 8 p.m.
