Huskies get comeback win over Blue Devils

Hamilton Heights made a big comeback in the fourth quarter against rival Tipton on Friday, and that sent the Huskies to a 73-65 victory in a key Hoosier Conference East Division game at the Blue Devils’ gym.
Heights led 18-13 after the first quarter and 34-30 at halftime. Tipton took over in the third period, scoring 23 points to lead the Huskies 53-48 by the end of the quarter. But it was all Heights in the fourth, as it outscored the Blue Devils 25-12 to earn its fourth consecutive win.
Gus Etchison scored 22 points, one of three Huskies players in double figures. Isaac Wilson contributed 15 points and led the rebounds with five. Luke Carroll added 10 points and Noah Linville dished out five assists.
With the victory, Heights is 2-0 in the division, presently sharing the lead with Western and Lewis Cass. The Huskies will host both those teams in the coming days, taking on Western on Feb. 6 and Cass on Feb. 9. Heights is 9-2 overall and next plays Thursday at Frankton.
