Hamilton Heights opened its season with a 43-30 loss at Brownsburg on Wednesday.
The Huskies started strong, leading the Bulldogs 12-9 after the first quarter and 18-16 at halftime. But Brownsburg took over in the third quarter, outscoring Heights 14-2.
Bayleigh Runner and Kayla Kirtley each scored nine points for the Huskies, with each player making a 3-pointer as well. Ana Collar had a solid game, grabbing seven rebounds, scoring six points and making four steals.
Heights will travel back to Hendricks County on Saturday when it plays Danville. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
