Hamilton Heights ran its win streak to five on Tuesday, edging out Greenfield-Central 39-38 in an overtime game at the Huskies’ gym.
Heights got off to a solid start, leading 14-5 after the first quarter. The Cougars’ cut the Huskies’ lead to 19-14 by halftime, then outscored Heights 11-6 in the fourth to force overtime. The Huskies won the extra period 6-5, and thus won the game.
Payton Dissett had an incredible shooting night, making five 3-pointers to score 15 points. Bayleigh Runner added 10 points, also pulling seven rebounds and handing out six assists. Dissett had six rebounds.
Heights is 5-2 and plays at Mount Vernon on Saturday afternoon.
