The Hamilton Heights-Harrison game that took place at the Raiders’ gym on Tuesday could be described in one word: Fast.
Both teams scored early, late and often. In the end, Harrison beat the Huskies 89-76 in their regular-season finale.
The Raiders led 42-35 at halftime, this despite four Heights 3-pointers (12 points) from Camron Knott. He was just getting warmed up, as he drained five more triples for a total of nine in the game. Knott led all scorers with 27 points.
Harrison outscored the Huskies 33-25 in the third quarter. Tyler Wiltermood played very well in that period, scoring 11 points, including a 3-pointer. He wound up with 15 points for the game, and joined Caleb Bean as the top rebounder; both had six.
Gus Etchison added 11 points and dished out seven assists. Knott made three steals.
Heights’ junior varsity team lost 59-36 in its final game of the season. Issiac Hickok led with 11 points and two rebounds, while Brent Pennington had 10 points, four rebounds and two steals.
The Huskies varsity completed its regular season 11-11 and will travel to New Castle next Tuesday to play the Class 3A No. 1 host Trojans in the first round of the sectional.
