Huskies dominate Hot Dogs in away game

Hamilton Heights picked up a big win Saturday, beating Frankfort 76-30 at the Hot Dogs’ Case Arena.

The Huskies led 24-6 after one quarter; Rees Knapp drained three 3-pointers on his way to 13 points. Heights kept things rolling in the second period, outscoring Frankfort 22-3 for 46-9 lead. Knapp nailed two more 3s and scored nine points in that quarter.

The entire second half was played under a running clock. Knapp hit two more 3s in the third quarter; he finished with a game-high 28 points, making seven triples, and also had five rebounds.

Twelve different Huskies players scored; Logan Saunders had eight points and Chris Nobbe scored seven. Drew Duncan led the rebounds with eight, followed by Dreydin Serna with six. Tyler Champion dished out six assists and made five steals, with Duncan also blocked two shots.

Heights’ game with Northwestern that was scheduled for last Friday was postponed due to weather. The Huskies’ next scheduled contest is this Friday at Lapel.
