Hamilton Heights sailed past Fort Wayne Northrop 51-25 in a Saturday afternoon game that turned into a historic occasion.
Senior Bayleigh Runner joined the Huskies’ 1,000-point club during the game. Runner achieved that mark as part of a 30-point performance, including eight 3-pointers.
Heights led 15-8 after the first quarter, then blanked the Bruins 12-0 in the second to take a 27-8 halftime lead. MyKayla Moran controlled the boards with 10 rebounds and also scored seven points. Payton Dissett added seven points as well.
Runner and Jillian Osswald both had five rebounds, with Osswald also dishing out seven assists and making six steals.
The Huskies are 4-3 and play Wednesday at Fishers.
