What happens when high school culinary students are paired with professional chefs to battle it out for scholarship glory? You get “Cheftacular,” Carmel High School’s most delicious competition of the year.
This year’s Cheftacular is set for 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, April 28 at the Carmel High School Fieldhouse, 520 E. Main St.
This event partners culinary students with some of the area’s top culinary talent to create and perfect a signature dish. This year, two Huse Culinary chefs will participate and mentor students, helping them perfect their signature dish for the competition.
Luke Landgrebe, executive chef at Harry and Izzy’s Northside, and Jason Chesky, executive chef at 1933 Lounge Carmel, are participating in this year’s event.
All proceeds from the event support the Cheftacular Scholarship with Carmel Education Foundation, Carmel High School Culinary Arts and the Hamilton County Harvest Food Bank.
Tickets are $40 and can be purchased online at this link.
