The Horseshoe Prairie Chapter Daughters of the American (DAR) recently announced the 2023 Good Citizens winner at a tea hosted for contestants and their families at the Noblesville Community Center.

Hamilton Southeastern senior Kate Lantzer was named the DAR Good Citizen of the Year from a field of six local high school senior Good Citizen winners.

Lantzer received a Certificate, DAR Good Citizen Pin, and an U.S. flag flown over the U.S. Capitol Building in her honor by Congresswoman Victoria Spartz (R-Ind.-05) of Noblesville. She now will now compete from among 86 Chapter winners to receive the opportunity for one of 13 who are chosen for the DAR State finals. DAR Good Citizens must exhibit the qualities of dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism.
