The Hamilton Southeastern swim teams swept their Forum Credit Union Splash-N-Clash Invitational on Saturday.
The Royals girls team won their meet with 720 points, well ahead of second-place Homestead’s 576. Southeastern’s medley relay teams started the event with a victory, with Abby Harter, Kennedy Fisher, DaBin Jung and Bri Saple winning in a time of 1:47.98.
Molly Pedersen was a double winner in the 200 freestyle (1:54.02) and 100 free (52.35). Harter paced the individual medley (2:09.43), and Sarah Ballard followed that with a victory in diving (451.59 points).
Southeastern continued to roll in the later stages of the meet, with Grace Newton, Fisher, Kayleigh Witt and Pedersen winning the 200 free relay (1:37.76). Harter took the backstroke (57.17), Fisher was first in the breaststroke (1:07.56) and the 400 free relay team of Saple, Pedersen, Witt and Harter finished up with a victory in that event (3:33.68).
In the boys meet, the Royals won with 634 points, comfortably ahead of Munster’s runner-up 522 points. The 200 free relay team of Andrew Christopher, Zack Bostock, Keegan Streett and DJ Rogers had the biggest win of the day, finishing in 1:24.32 to set new meet, pool and HSE school records.
Streett set another meet record, in the 200 free, which he swam in 1:40.02. Rogers was first in the 50 free (21.42) and 100 free (47.28), while AJ Ricafort took the diving event (449.34 points).
