The Hamilton Southeastern girls swim teams swept Zionsville Tuesday in a dual meet at the Eagles’ pool.
The Royals girls team won 117-69. Abby Harter won two events and was also part of a relay victory. Mo Pedersen won the 500 freestyle and Molly Robinson placed first in the breaststroke. Also on winning HSE relays were Hannah Pugh, Ellie Pedersen, Laura MacLafferty and Bri Saple.
Southeastern’s boys won 104-82. Junior Andrew Christopher and senior Blake Ratliff won all four events they swam; Royals coach Andy Pedersen said that Ratliff’s win in the 200 free “might have made the difference in the meet.”
Sophomore Evan Sellers won the 500 free, junior Marcus Eden won a tight 100 free, and sophomore Laith Qadan had a good swim in the 500 free.

Thank you for the write up on the HSE Royals swim team. I would like to point out that nothing was mentioned on any of the divers from this competition. I understand their all around point value is not as great as the swimmers but they significantly contribute to the team as well. In fact so much so, at the girls IHSAA State Swimming and Diving Champs last year, if it weren’t for one Sarah Ballard and Hallie Swick taking 4th and 8th respectfully for diving, the Royals would NOT have placed 3rd over all at the most disgushed meet in the State. Please take into consideration for future articles the divers from all the schools as they work just as hard as the swimmers.
Kind regards
